Public calendars change quietly. The school moves an event, the venue cancels, and you don't find out until the day of. Instead of one more thing for you to check, CheckTheCal watches your calendar feeds and emails you what actually changed.
One calendar, checked twice a day, for free, no credit card needed.
Any .ics subscription link — school, club, venue, council. We fetch it immediately, so you can see the watcher is live.
Every 15 minutes on Pro. We find all the events that were added, moved, or cancelled.
Nothing changed means nothing sent, your inbox stays clean.
One calendar, checked twice a day. No card.
The family’s calendars, checked hourly.
Every calendar a club or a school runs on.
Operations, with routing and an allowance that bends.
Webhook and Slack deliveries never count against the email allowance.
Check for changes on all the calendars in your life. Any calendar that publishes a subscription link can be checked.
Inset days, assembly times, and trip dates that move once the term is already printed on the fridge.
A club that reschedules for weather on Friday night and expects everyone to have noticed by Saturday.
Rooms and lecture slots that shift in the first weeks of term and once more before reading week.
A ward or depot rota where one swap on Wednesday quietly moves three other people to nights.
Support slots, load-in times, and venue changes announced on a calendar rather than to you.
Talks that move rooms between the program going live and the morning you turn up for them.
Planning meetings, collection days, and consultations, rescheduled around bank holidays.
You can even check your own personal calendars that you share with family and friends. Great for all those back-to-back Saturday birthday parties.
The change is in the email. What changed, what it changed to, all direct to you. We give you to-the-point details of the change so you can quickly decide if you need to act on it.

We fetch the .ics feed on a schedule and compare it against the last copy we took, event by event. If any of the events are changed, we alert you.
No. The first check records what's there as the starting point and tells you nothing, so your first email isn't a hundred events of "new". Everything from that point on is reported.
Nothing changed means nothing sent — we won't manufacture an email to prove we're alive. Every screen instead says when we last looked, so "checked 4 minutes ago" is always on the page.
Any calendar that publishes a subscription link ending in .ics — school terms, club fixtures, venue bookings, council schedules, university timetables. If you can subscribe to it in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook, we can watch it.
One email. Everything found in a single check goes out as one message with the changes grouped into added, changed, and cancelled.
Yes, on a paid plan. You add their address, they confirm it themselves from an email we send them, and from then on they get the alerts for whichever calendars you choose. Free includes alerts to the account owner only.
Upgrade to PersonalFree covers 50 emails a month. At 50 we pause alerts until the month resets and send you one email saying so. We keep checking your calendars the whole time, so nothing is lost — we just can't email you about it on the free plan.
Upgrade to PersonalWe tell you. A calendar we can't reach is the one failure that looks exactly like good news — no changes — so we email you when it starts, keep trying, and tell you what we find when we get back in.
Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can pause or delete a watch from the dashboard at any time. There is no cancellation conversation to have.
